About this event

Irish bands heading for the world stage, a homegrown scene finding its voice and an Irishman at the heart of Live Aid.

Niall Stokes, former editor of Hot Press, joins historian Donal Fallon of the Three Castles Burning podcast to explore the sound of 1980s Ireland. Who was playing, where and what it meant.

Inspired by our exhibition at the National Photographic Archive, Temple Bar, marking 40 years since Live Aid, Ireland in the 80s: The Full Picture takes a fresh look at the decade.

Free, booking required.

Readers are advised to check with the venue before relying on the details published here.
